Regards
subvibe
Hi
@subvibe , please can you post the link you're trying to add via the soundcloud function so I can troubleshoot the issue? Thank you.
It's working for me with no issue...
Hi
it worked on a earlier post
i have just tried again & this is the error
CleanTalk: *** Forbidden. HTTP links blacklisted. Please enable JavaScript. Contains contacts. Anti-Spam by CleanTalk. ***
Thx
subvibe
Thanks
@subvibe - in order to see why it's not working I need to see the url you're trying to post. Did you post more than one link in a short space of time? It might be tripping the spam filter.
Hi
if i try to post the url it gives the same error
subvibe
Hi
@subvibe Sounds like there's an issue with the URL. You can post it using the code tag. If you press the code button and paste your URL, or type [ c o d e ] [ / c o d e ] (without the spaces) and paste your URL in between the tags, I should be able to see it.
Tone
Thanks for the DM with the link
@subvibe - seems to be working for me. I'm not sure what's happening here. Let me look into it.
I assume you're trying to start a new thread in one of the review boards with a link to this song? How long is it since you last successfully posted a link? Have you had a problem with any other link?
Hi
Thanks for your prompt reply
i posted a link in finished songs around a week ago
it was also a soundcloud link & it posted without any problems
i will try again with your advised code button
regards
subvibe
Hi
i managed to get it to work But on a you tube link still not working on soundcloud link
Thanks & Regards
subvibe
Thanks for the update
@subvibe . I'll keep looking into it - might be one of those 'quirks' that needs ironing out with a new project. Thanks for your patience.
It happens to me when I'm using a VPN. Turn it off and I can post. Not a deal breaker, but I do prefer to use a VPN.

It's probably the anti-spam software matching the VPN IP address to a blocklist because of someone using it to spam. Which VPN are you using
@ChrisPrice ?

I use Express VPN. It's not a problem for me to turn it off, but it is still happening.
That's weird. I'm using ExpressVPN too and have no issue posting. Have you tried a different server location
@ChrisPrice ?
I just tried two different UK server locations with the same problem. Turn it off and I can post.
Testing with a UK server.
[edit] seems to work for me. I'll check the anti-spam settings again.
Still the same problem. Just tried all the Express UK servers one by one with no luck. Turn the VPN off and I can post.
I'm getting the same error trying to post a link to a bandcamp song page. Not running a VPN, and javascript is not turned off.
Can't load a link to Soundcloud, same as others have described.
Thanks
@ChrisPrice ,
@mattyoungmusic , and
@JohnS . I've created a support ticket with the anti-spam developers, will post back when I get a reply.
Hi again guys
@ChrisPrice ,
@mattyoungmusic ,
@JohnS - the devs have tweaked the anti-spam settings. Please can you try posting again and let me know if it works now. Thanks!
Hi
@tone - I just tried posting a bandcamp link and got the same error.
Hi
@mattyoungmusic , thanks for your post. I've sent a message to the devs, so hopefully they'll work their magic and you'll be able to share your song soon. I'll post again when I hear back.
Hi again
@mattyoungmusic , I got a reply from the devs, and was told that the error was caused by javascript being disabled in your browser. Would you be happy to enable js and try again and let me know if it works? Do you have js disabled for security reasons?
Hi
@tone - javascript is not disabled in my browser (Firefox). I've never disabled it, and I just checked and confirmed that it is fully enabled.
That's weird
@mattyoungmusic - did you try to post the link again?
Here's a test post: Rose of Jericho (https://mby8.bandcamp.com/track/rose-of-jericho)
Well, that time it worked! I changed nothing on my end, with the exception of posting it in this category instead of the "Feedback on Finished Songs" category.
Yay! I hope that's the end of your issues
@mattyoungmusic , let me know if you have any more problems. :)
Just tried a test posting and I'm still having the same issue with Express VPN connected. I've just turned it off and here I am!
I get this message with VPN connected:
CleanTalk: *** Forbidden. Please enable JavaScript. Your IP belongs to a high spam risk network. Please, try again without VPN. Anti-Spam by CleanTalk. ***
I've done nothing with Java Script. I just turned off the VPN. It appears to be flagging Express as a 'high spam risk network'
Chris
I managed to post a song the other day and also some reviews, but I had to disable Express in order to proceed.
Hi
@ChrisPrice , thanks for the update. Before I send the details over to the devs, can you confirm whether you're using the ExpressVPN app or browser extension, and which operating system (e.g. Windows 11)/ browser combination you're using. Thank you. :)

Sure. I'm a Mac user..One machine on OS Mojave and the other on OS Sequoia. I use the Express app on both, but not the browser extention. My browser is Firefox. I Haven't messed with Java settings.
I have the same issue on both machines so I don't think it's down to one particular Mac version. I can't see it being down to Firefox either as I can post on either machine with the VPN turned off. Thinking it could be something to do with the Mac version of the Express app.
It's not a big problem for me, I can turn the VPN off when I visit. Great if a solution is possible, but it's not a deal breaker.
Cheers,
Chris
Testing UK server again.
I spoke too soon!! Just tested it again and I'm now up and running with Express turned on. I haven't changed anything at this end, but it appears to have come good. Strange as I tried yesterday and got nowhere.
Happy days!! Thanks for persevering with this.
Cheers,
Chris
So glad it seems to be working now
@ChrisPrice - thanks for the update.
