Title: Notorious Lady's For Sale
Post by: JJ Townley on Nov 08, 2025, 04:56 AM
Would love some feedback on this. Don't hold back. If it has no potential please be frank. Of course the opposite is also appreciated. But I dont want to invest in having a music video made if it would be a waste of time and $$$$'s. Thanks much.

I suggest:

1. Post this in the "Feedback on Finished Songs" category. You posted in the "Showcase for Released Songs" category, which means to us that you are showing off a completed song that you have already officially released and to which you don't plan to make any more changes.

2. Take some time to browse through the forum boards, have some conversations, and give your opinions on some songs written by other members. I think you'll find you'll have better luck getting feedback if you get involved like that. (Ask me how I know this!  ;) )

That being said, I listened to your song, and I like the sound. I'm not an expert on what "has potential" and what doesn't. Besides that, the world is full of stories of various famous people who were told at one time or another that they had no future in movies/dance/music/etc by one or another expert in the field--which advice they ignored and went on to make a name for themselves.

Examples:

Lucille Ball was refused entry to an acting school because she had "no talent".

Elvis Presley auditioned to sing for a band and was reportedly told to stick to truck driving because he had no future as a singer.

Fred Astaire had a screen test--notes from that said, "Can't act. Can't sing. Slightly bald. Can dance a little."

The list goes one. Just sayin'....
