Hey all,
First post here. I welcome feedback but be gentle please.
One foot in
Living in the middle is very hard to do
One foot in one foot out
wearing different shoes
Mind the gap
Mind the town
In the middle is where you're found
Always on the outside
Always looking in
Doesn't matter what you've done
Or where that you have been
Not smart enough those
Not wise enough for them
You'll never measure up
You'll never quite fit in
But the middle isnt so bad
You see both sides from the bridge
Standing in the middle
True clarity begins
So when you feel alone
As you stand upon that bridge
Know that you are truly blessed
You get to look within
Living in the middle is very hard to do
One foot in one foot out
wearing different shoes
Pretty neat lyric this. Unique topic and perspective.
The structure has baffled me with two three line verses and then all verses until the last line having four and no apparent chorus. I am sure your music will clear that up.
The kine "no smart enough those" didnt sit with me. I had I think it needs to be more specific.
Good lyric, with an interesting topic
Thank you for the feedback! It is much appreciated. I picked "those" and "them" to be able to fit into any two generalized groups. You are correct that the structure is strange. I have a writing partner for the music side so we will be able to work some of that out later. Thanks again!
Maybe if you changed it to "not smart enough for those" it would make more sense. As it currently reads it is saying the those people arnt smart enough. Just saying.
Haha that "for" should be there! Thank you for the catch.
