Title: The Silence
Post by: Mora Amaro La Loba on Dec 12, 2025, 11:35 AM
Hello, hola, holo, Merry Christmas!!! Too soon to congratulate you? No, not at all!

This song, with its snow and cold, could be a greeting card, why not?

It was cold,
a dog barked at the night
and the silence that remained
was still heavy.

It was cold
the snow that was falling
left flowers with thorns
on the wings of the crows

The black and white merged
and the coming dawn
gave it its grayish tone
from its early glass

Everything and nothing
came together
getting lost in the sky,
the sea and the air spoke to each other
and the silence that remained
was still heavy.

It was cold on either shore of waiting
the ghost of hope threw stones
into the water of indifference
but they barely made a sound
as they bounced
among frozen waves

and the silence that remained
was still heavy

Hola chico,
This song was born from a poem I wrote, oddly enough, in the summer, hahaha. I love it, even though it has a range that makes my voice sound deeper, but perhaps that's why it has that slightly sinister, or very sinister, feel, along with some parts of the music!

My mother was a passionate reader and had a very extensive library, and among so many titles there was a mystery section that I devoured avidly... Crimes, disappearances, unsolved cases, darkness, the dead, have been swirling around in my head ever since, along with Isaac Asimov, hahaha. Anyway, that's it.
Thank you so much for listening and encouraging me.

Felices fiestas, take care, cold is a bad enemy.

Hi Mora, not been in for a while, but nice to be back, loved your song, moody and atmospheric as usual, you don't disappoint, all the best, George
