Title: An alternative use for A.I.
Post by: Billy_Lunch_Money on May 30, 2026, 01:35 PM
I've got to admit that I do use A.I.!  But, not in the way you may think.

I'm sure I'm no the only one doing this, but my only real use for A.I. is stem spliting, As it has the potential to return a higher quality stem... most of the time. I find it's great tool for building backing tracks and once complete they really help the learning process, whether that's a personal project or learning songs for a cover band.

I have learnt so many songs this way just in the last year, more than at any other point in my life and I'm just going to keep going.

I'm just an amateur wannabe songwriter and was pretty blown away with how quickly I can experiment from an original draft, lyrics and melody to layering, trying different genres.  It's insane to think how much time and it'd cost to have the Goo Goo Dolls try to cover your song then say meh,  let's tray Gomez -- let me guide you through the movements... Nah, let's go big band hey Louis Armstrong and ensemble, I wanna try something different.
I'm just looking to get my AI "drafts" up to pitch quality but I just don't know what to do next, I am not pro musician by any means.  Incidentally, you ended your comment with "I'm just going to keep going" -- Funny this is  the first song I tried with Google Flow Music I wanted as a pitch "Keep Pushing On" https://www.flowmusic.app/song/f5efcba4-ac4d-489c-9081-2cdf715f842f
