Nice modern vibe in the song with the pads & bass which sounds great with the vocal! The song is also well composed!
One thought I had (and maybe this is related to listening through my AirPods) is that the mix could benefit from a bit more stereo width—maybe spreading some elements out to create a more spacious soundscape could add depth. Just a suggestion!
Nice song!

@subvibe

It's a nice relaxing song and the production is spot on. If anything and please don't take this as criticism I think a middle eight taking it in a slightly different direction would help. I've only recently started trying to do this on some of my stuff after reading an article on melody writing.

Yes, me too--I can't post a link to SoundCloud. I can't do YouTube, either. I reported it to the moderators, so we'll see. I'm going to keep trying other options.

Meanwhile, I love this song. It is so pretty and sweet sounding. I couldn't understand the lyrics well enough to know if it IS sweet.  ;)  I am getting inspired to try some interesting things in my DAW.

You always have real good songs and have production down pat

This is superb. Your vocals here really won me over. Love the unusual brass stuff part way. A fabulous song and a great arrangement. :)

@subvibe

This is right up my street!

Modern, commercial sounding, creative - ticks all of the boxes for me

The little trumpet solo was great - but it felt a little "disconnected" from the next section when it came straight in - perhaps leave a bar or so to let the "trumpet section" fade out, whilst the next section fades in would help connect things up

Overall though, this is the second top notch song and production I have listened to from you - and I would love to hear and know more about you

The vocals have been superb on both tracks I have listened to - Is it you singing?

Thanks @Boydie & all the others with their nice comments & advice
i am retired & located in the Netherlands Basically i do these songs for fun
& my Hobby
i have a little home studio in my Attic & work with Cubase 14 Pro
I don't sing so most of the vocals are from friends or from Sample vocal
packs that i purchase ie Function Loops on the downside of these sometimes
the content is limited so not always a decent intro verse chorus etc so a
challenge trying to get a full song
The style i do is mainly laid back Ambient or RnB type stuff ironically not
always the stuff i listen to ..  maybe influences in the past like Sade draw me
to the smoother style music
i don't really have any contact with any local musicians So all the music i do
in Cubase 14 Pro & i try to emulate real sounds if i can ie Acc Guitar
i posted quite a lot of songs on the old forum & always appreciate the feedback I
i have learned a lot
before retiring i travelled a lot for my work mainly to Asia so these days its nice to get
away from the stress , take my dog for walks watch my Baby grandaughter grow up
& spend time in my little studio.  there is always something new to learn also i am open
to any Colab as this would also be a challenge & take me out of my comfort zone
