Title: Strange Day
Post by: Mora Amaro La Loba on Dec 28, 2024, 01:49 PM
Hola a todos!  Happy New Year, why not?
this song was born from a strange day, things in life... things that made me remember how many times life spoke to me and I didn't know how to interpret her... until it was too late.

Today has been a strange day
it dawned with fog
fog in which I got lost
surrounded by water drops
 strangely warm

More than seeing
I guessed
and put in my eyes
sleeping fields
with their scarecrows

Today has been a strange day
full of corners
and shadows
that escaped from the light
taking with them their secrets
revealing
the nakedness of the moment

Life spoke to me with gestures
she didn't use any words
she was just there
with her secret language

@Mora Amaro La Loba -- "Strange Day" is another excellent track from you! Do you ever run out of creative energy and great ideas? :D The atmosphere of your song is a clever blend of smooth jazz and sublime emotions. The percussion, bass, guitars, and synths are mixed well and are clear. Your vocals and backing vocals are great as usual. :D

The lyrics are also great! Among my favorite lines are:

Life spoke to me with gestures
She didn't use any words
She was just there
With her secret language

Very cool! I like your references to scarecrows and sleeping fields, too. 8)

Regarding your video, it's among your best with a stream of interesting scenes, creative artwork, and cool images. I enjoyed listening and watching. Nicely done! Keep the cool songs and videos coming in 2025! :D

The song "Strange Day" is beautifly written, a wonderful jazz for a tea break. Mysterious lyrics and with the same mysterious music video. A real ethereal song! Well done :) You are my inspiration!

Hola @Vicki
Good Year!!! thank you so much!!!
I work on Adobe Premiere to do my videos, I use my own footage, me hahaha then I mix and remix various images and give them movement. Do you have Adobe Premiere? It's a fantastic tool, very intuitive.
Big kiss from Madrid

What a fantastically intriguing track @Mora Amaro La Loba

I have tweaked your original post to embed the YouTube video for you

I initially listened without the translation subtitles, and still very much enjoyed the track - your vocal has a wonderful "percussive" quality that kept me engaged even though I had no clue what you were singing - I then listened following the subtitles, which gave the song an added dimension

Not all of the vocal effects were to my personal taste - e.g. the "wishy washy" backing vocals, but I loved the smooth jazzy instrumentation, which is right up my street ;D

Hola @Boydie
I want to wish you a wonderful year and give you thanks for awaking or resurrecting the forum!!! A hard work for sure!!
Thank you for listening and watching, much appreciated. It's not a Super song but to me it is solid, special and transmits a strange feeling.

PS.:Little by little the old members reappear here, and new ones, it's wonderful!

Hi M...
Very dream like. I can relate. Most mornings I, too, wake up in a fog surrounded by water drops.
The music is lovely and soothing. Beautiful production.

Hola @IronKnee
Thank you so much for your thought! For me it was the first time the water drops were warm, not cold!!!

But what surprised me most at the time was discovering that fog is a cloud that does not leave the ground as I say, a cloud that does not fly!!

This is a great one, @Mora Amaro La Loba.  I particularly like the vocal delivery.  It starts almost like a rap, but then a really lovely melody evolves.  And I love the harmonies that join in later in the song.  Very evocative, as always!
