The first part is just sweet and beautifully relaxed. Wonderfull soft vocals. Also love the raw krautrock psychedelic 70s vibe at the end.

Honestly, this is exactly the type of music that I love.
Decided to follow you on soundcloud  :)

This is one of my favorites of yours! The setting is perfect for the theme of the song. Very nice job!

Sorry to hear about your breakup.

Cannot say anything on the mix other than that it sounds alright out of small laptop speakers.

On the song itself: I dig the sluggishness in the rhythm, as if the drummer is almost too sleepy to lift their sticks. I've heard it before in one of your other songs, in which a similar type of wonderful laissez-faire feeling was caused by the tuba. I think it's a great asset to your already very distinctive style, leaning somewhat towards 70s soft rock.

Looking forward to your next songs. Keep 'm coming :)

Cheers, Dorian

What a great sound.... if I have a real nit, it would be that your singing of the lyrics is in a way that the meaning of the words is obscured.
With that said, this is a fantastic club floor number... where the words aren't necessary to follow to have a splendid dance.

BTW, I love lasagna and have a to-die-for recipe passed down the generations!  8)

Beautiful song and beautiful vocal performance. Spring melody and deep lyrics.
I agree with Mora - you are an excellent singer!

Thanks Maya..... I really appreciate you coming on by!
I never did really like my voice and always wondered how it would sound in a real music recording studio with real recording engineers.... better, I think. I leave lots and lots of flaws and smears in my recordings, only with hopes the writing itself shines thru.
Thank you very much for the encouragement.

@Mora Amaro La Loba ,

I wish your husband a speedy recovery. Marcus is a great guitar player and listening to him and his jazz compositions is a great pleasure!

You and your husband are a wonderful couple and very talented artists.
Thank you very much for your wonderful music.
You are my inspiration. :)

I recently broke up with my significant other
I don't usually write this type of song but let others do it
This one sort of just fell from the tree
The mixing was tough though

I hope you like it
ad feedback of any sort would be very welcome

Lyrics:

a growing indifference

roses and thorns will not release me
I try to get along, 'doesn't come easy
it isn't the money or the phony power play
y' just don't want me in the most familiar way

I've seen your eyes
with a new distance
that won't be denied
a growing indiff'rence
oh, yes, oh my
poor me, and mine

no burning rubber, 'barely rollin' slow
talk your lover, go tell him, let him know
.
that I've seen your eyes
stranger than fiction
that won't be defined
a growing indiff'rence
I guess, love resigned
poor me, and mine

now from a distance
a growing indiff'rence

change clothes and go
poor me, and mine

Very sweet
Classic songwriting
I like when it opens up too
Does sound like it was recorded outside with the nature sounds.
Then huge psychedelic ending to drive the point home! Well done.

Good to hear from you dorian
This is quite eery.
The antithesis of happy birthday. 😊
You don't mind putting yourself out there
and claiming your place, far from the more Conservative songsters.
