I'm recalling the very talented and lovely Roxann Dawson, who starred as B'Elanna Torres on Star Trek: Voyager (1995–2001). The episodes that center on her character are always very interesting and enjoyable to watch. 😃

@ChrisPrice – It's good to see you back and hear a new track from you, man! Your songs always reflect the vibe of the best rock sounds from the early to mid 70s, but with a modern-day energy and polish. Métropolitain maintains the standard that folks have come to expect and enjoy in your songs.

The track features your solid lead guitar work as usual, especially the middle piece that kicks in around time index 1:57. The song has excellent vocals, production, and is mixed with a very clear sound. The abrupt closing, in contrast to a long fadeout, was an interesting choice, but it works well.

Your lyrics are clever throughout, but the best ones to me were the spoken lines, which added a cool effect.

With a sophisticated, cosmopolitan liberal mind and her psychedelic streak
She turn me inside out with all her streetwise and funky debonair chique

Good stuff! I enjoyed listening! If the song is any indication, your trip to Paris with your daughter was exciting and fun! I'm looking forward to your next track while enjoying this one! 😃

Back after along absence. I'll start reviewing songs here again later today and onwards. This song was loosely inspired by a long weekend in Paris with my daughter.

I'm heading south again to the boulevard Margeurite de Rochechouart
I'm seeing an old new friend, she live so near but never go that far

Up and down the metro line, Haute cuisine and drink fine wine
Camembert demi baguette, her gallic shrug you can't forget
It was love on Line 2...of the Métropolitain Line

She wore the t-shirt and beret, conquered me in every way
Broken English and broken heart, spit me out I have no say

Up and down the metro line, Haute cuisine and drink fine wine
Camembert and French baguette, the gallic shrug you can't forget
It was love on Line 2...

With a sophisticated, cosmopolitan liberal mind and her psychedelic streak
She turn me inside out with all her streetwise and funky debonair chique

I'm heading south again to the boulevard Margeurite de Rochechouart
I'm seeing an old new friend, she live so near but never go that far

Up and down the metro line, Haute cuisine and drink fine wine
Camembert and French baguette, her gallic shrug you can't forget
Smoking gauloises cigarettes, salade nicoise and lipstick wet
Passion like I never knew, love me till I'm black n blue
It was love on Line 2

The theatrical release of the film Obsession is coming soon, on May 15, 2026. I previously posted the teaser trailer for it. The official trailer is shown below. As a reminder, the respected movie critic Spooky Astronauts (Emma Wolfe) is on record as saying this is "one of the best" movies she's ever seen. I previously posted her cool video review of the film. We'll soon know if it lives up to the hype! Get your popcorn ready! 😃🍿

There may be a special premiere as early as May 13, 2026 here. I may go to see it then. 😃

...and be super careful what and who you wish for...

Lyrics / And I Will Always Hate You – l...
Last post by icystorm - May 04, 2026, 07:20 PM
Greetings, everyone! After finally catching a brief breather from my busy work schedule, I'm working a bit more on my fictional horror novel and new songs. A new song in support of my novel came to me this morning, with a chorus and melody first. I sat down and quickly sang it into my DAW. The full lyrics followed quickly. I will work on a full demo for it soon, as soon as I wrap up a music video for my remixed song Does a Sorceress Make Love?.

My new song, And I Will Always Hate You, is a mid-tempo pop-rock song with an 80s vibe. The song is about a mortal man who is used in a scheme by Eris, the Goddess of Strife and Discord, while she masquerades on Earth in human form. The guy falls in love with Eris who promptly discards him after she's finished using him for her malicious purpose. He never realizes she's a mythical, immortal goddess. He's left dazed and confused, in a world of grief and misery after she's gone, not knowing if he loves her or hates her.

As with all of my songs, absolutely no AI was used in writing/composing the lyrics or music, or producing the track.

song from my forthcoming fictional horror novel "Omega's Dark: The Transference"

--Verse 1
You tricked your way into my life
With charms and wicked ways
You poured it on
And I ate every part right from your palms

--Verse 2
And there was a time and place
I worshiped you
and all the things you'd do
Like a feast made from your heart

--Pre-chorus 1
And there are no lies in Heaven
There are no truths in Hell
And loving you was a bitter thing
That never ever could end well

--Chorus
You are the sinister one
With dark and evil in your heart
You tread where no man dares to find
The path to reach your danger mark
The road from loving you is
An endless spiral of misery that comes true
And I will always love you
And I will always hate you, too

--Verse 3
Hate is a bitter thing
I cannot believe I'm here
You led me down
Every step I followed made no sound

--Verse 4
Once you were all mine in faith
Or so it seemed
In all the lies from you
From a face with only words untrue

--Pre-chorus 2
And there are no fears in Heaven
There's only pain in Hell
And loving you was a misery
That never ever would die well

(repeat chorus, then to bridge)

--Bridge
The danger lies in loving someone
Don't believe in bliss
The Heaven in the stars is fake
The fire in Hell is only what you make

(repeat chorus 1x then outro)

Life changes us even if we don't realize it, and memory is one of the factors that causes those changes because it disguises our memories, dresses them up as it pleases. What we thought was one way wasn't entirely so, and those changes alter us... I think you understand, right? No? Well, this song is about them. I hope you enjoy it.

There's so much work in here

Even without forgetting
I am forgetting you

there's no hand to tie your essence
to the tree where my time lives

and despite my desire
you only exist in my dreams

I try to bring back to my ears
your voice and all its nuances
but it has dissolved in limbo,
only one word has been saved
from the abyss of oblivion

nena nena nena
baby baby baby

Even without forgetting,
I am forgetting you
and when I look at your photos,
you seem like someone stranger

How brief our life is,
how short that journey together,
never enough to discover each other

nena nena nena
baby baby baby

Saffron is the lead vocalist of the band Republica. She brought a lot of style and energy to their music in the 90s. They had a high-energy 1996/97 hit with Ready to Go. The song is often heard on beaches during the summer when volleyball games, swimming, and sun-filled days are the norm. ☀️😎

The track reached No. 56 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, No. 7 on Billboard's US Alternative Airplay chart, and No. 13 on the UK Singles Chart.

After seeing the attractive and charming Gigi Perreau in an earlier episode of The Rifleman, I watched another episode featuring her second appearance, but this time she played the role of a different character, Vickie Battle. The episode is titled Death Trap (1961). I rate the episode a respectable 6 out of 10 stars.

Stop reading here to avoid spoilers. Otherwise, scroll below for details.

Full episode of The RiflemanDeath Trap (1961)

Spoiler: In the show, a former gunslinger, Simon Battle, gave up frontier gunfighting and became a medical doctor after the death of his wife. Dr. Battle and his daughter, Vickie, are traveling through North Fork. As usual, chaos and violence erupt in town, with multiple homicides and brutality. A typical western! 😃

An interesting 'goof': The credits list Gigi's role as "Carrie Battle," but she is called "Vickie" throughout the show, and never "Carrie." 🤔

6⭐ A decent episode. Respectable and enjoyable overall! Gigi Perreau, once again, is awesome in the show. 😃👍
