Hi,

Good song, I like the echo on vocals.
I agree with others ... maybe 6.30 is too long.

Production is excellent!

Not the sort of material I would normally listen to but your vocal alone is worth the price of admission. Some lovely unexpected chord changes and I thought you introduced enough variation with the acoustic section and the breathing effects all add up to give the whole thing an epic quality.

It's a long track but it didn't drag for me. Overall, this is a class piece of work which is compelling and beautifully realised.

Kevin,
That powerful guitar and drums had my foot tapping from the off.
Then we get into those series of chord changes.
Like the introduction of the acoustic and how it its gets into a series of cyclical key changes towards the end.
Thoughts: I felt there were a bit to mant key changes early on to anchor the tune for me before it developed and perhaps I'd try to differentiate a bit more between verse and chorus. Some harmonies would be really work here, and as you say an epic over the top solo would fit just perfectly...

Hi shadow.....dark and kinda creepy lyrics, matched with some pretty dark guitar rhythms....
and although I found this palatable, this genre is not my fav. cup of tea.

Some solid writing and performing, I must say!

Hi Kevin,

Good to hear the heavier side of your writing - works well with your vocal style; gives that added interest.
6 minutes flew by. Agree, that a ripsnorting solo would be a great addition - but they're hard to come by!
Excellent production.

Its a good arrangement and production but not the sort of music I listen to so its hard for me to be constructive here. I feel the things I don't like will be liked a lot by others as its only personal taste but musically I can hear nothing wrong. The vocals are of your usual impeccable standard, some fantastic harmonies really lift the chorus. Nice breathy sounds, what did you use there? real breathing or the new NI instrument they are plugging at the moment? The breakdown is on now as I type and that has grabbed me. Bass enters nice. I good arrangement here coming out of the bridge/breakdown.

Sounds quite epic in places, Its all you wanted to achieve.

Allan.

Somehow, I missed this back when you posted it.

Another one that is a true departure from your norm.  This one's even edgier (and darker) than your newest one.  Once again, I love the variation.  Even if this doesn't become one of YOUR favorites, I think it's an excellent direction for you to explore.

I look forward to hearing more from the "dark side" of Shadowfax.

Hi !

I liked it, you voice suits the track very well, but it a bit too long for me !  ;D

I would have add a couple of bpm to speed it up. I would also have the breathing effect a lot sooner and maybe throughout the song.

Nono.
