Didn't get on air. Just kept me hanging on the phone for 20 mins while a couple of guys hogged the conversation then the show finished

15 years ago, I was on the phone talking to a researcher and being primed for an appearance on 5live in the run-up to the Iraq war...until I gave them a flavour of what I intended to say regarding my assessment of the honesty and integrity of the then Prime Minister...at which point it was decided that it would not be prudent to interview me on air after all

It was a bit crap really, I sent them a text and next thing I knew they phoned me up to ask me if I wanted to be on air. Nicky Campbell introduced me after the 9:30 news and then I was just left hanging on the telephone (Maybe there's a song about that !)

That's pretty rude. Sorry that happened to you. But yeah, when life gives you lemons, write a song.
