Hello @rightly,

I enjoyed reading your introduction.  Of course, I was immediately drawn to your use of the ''c' word.  Though it will offend one or two, it didn't bother me.  Your comparison of the unconditional love of Jesus against the judgement of mortals is striking. The lyrics are evocative and your musical treatment matches the cutting edge of the lyrical message.  We couldn't fail to tune in to this without agreeing that you pour your heart and soul into your work.  It's all on edge but in a good way, ensuring that your work won't be ignored.

Thanks for the feedback Paul
When writing I'm only focused on saying things that seem relevant
and express my ideas.
Sometimes, it's very demanding, other times, such as here, less demanding
Still, my focus is on that exclusively.
If people get touchy about certain words, it's not really my concern.

It's another of my excursions into 3/4 and it was fun.
The niggly mixing toward the end of the production became a drag.
If I hang about too long I seem to get ideas on how to do the whole thing differently.
But I find it's good to let things go and conserve energy for the next.

Thanks Paul. I'm glad you like the song.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

@rightly  Great backstory and fantastic original lyrics set against a wacky and wonderful soundtrack. I know I have said this before, but there is only one Rightly! (That should be your tagline :) )

Very original melody, performance, arrangement! :)
Unusual drum sound. And the lyrics sound like an interesting artistic story!
Original and creative!

Thanks Kevin.
If I strived for originality, I'd be the biggest phony ever!
I'm just ignorant enough, not to recognise a well trodden path.
Aah. and backpains 😢

Hi Rightly, I like to write stories myself and can see that you got a classic set up for this drama, two characters with very different views on human existence on this planet. Your song tackles it head on as that’s your nature and the honesty of your approach definitely punches through.

I really enjoyed the imagination in the musical arrangement and the overall power of the composition. You’ve definitely not lost your touch since I was last here! 😉
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

Hi MichaelA

Yes, the short story
I'm not saying it's earth-shattering
Just a funny sketch
A skeleton of a story,
ooh to have the skills of writing ✍️

It's more than different viewpoints
1 character is ready to respectfully discuss, a strangers viewpoint
The other character, patronising and
dismissive of any other viewpoint than her own.
And yet all eyes n ears are on the 1st character,
who's making an effort not to offend,
 the offender can be as
spectacularly outrageous as she pleases, with impunity,
exempt, from even the most casual judgement. Aaaaah.

Hey, thanks for your feedback

The song kind of works acoustically too
I'm just not sure if it's interesting enough
to make it worth investing the time
of getting an acoustic performance right.

2nd day not smoking
Going mental!

I'm a huge fan of your songs. I've read some of the reviews but I'm still totally baffled by this one! I'm not sure if you've found some kind of belief or whether you're having a massive stab at the whole God/JC thing. I avoid religion (and politics) in my music because I just know I'm going to upset someone if I open my mouth!! I admire your courage. A great track, however you interpret it. :)

Love it! Especially the somewhat quirky waltsz rhythm.
I think we both share a preference for reviving slighthy outdated/cheesy melodies and sounds  :)

The lyrics reminded me of a roleplaying event (larp) about a fictional religion I helped organising once.
Their motto was: "The saviour loves even you."
That word "even" indeed makes it sound like an insult  :)

Looking forward to your future releases!

Cheers, Dorian
