I hope this isn't against the rules but I have a short EP (15mins) which represents a single body of work that pays tribute to the Seattle grunge scene of the 90s. in 1991 I was 16, I was just starting to get in to playing bass (and singing) I was in a band with my mates and then albums like Nevermind and Ten were coming out and my teenage brain exploded... I never stood a chance I was prime target audience for this music and I just let myself get lost in it. Over the years I've covered many diferrent genres but this is one that will be forever in my heart. I looked to the bands that meant the most to me specifically Nirvanna, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Stone Telmple Pilots and looked at the themes and sounds they utilised as inspiration for my own original songs. The lyircs are in the video

Hello @AJ Bruce

I think you've nailed the brief and it certainly pays tribute to what you are trying to achieve.

I'll admit that this genre in now what I would normally listen to, but I appreciate your arrangement and writing skills.

Good work.

We're the same age, and I was also in a basement band in '91 and totally bowled over by grunge.

You've hit it right on the head here!  Your EP evokes Bleach-era Nirvana (my favorite era, I might add), peak Alice in Chains, and a host of other early-to-mid '90s bands.

The melodies are strong, the lyrics could sit shoulder-to-shoulder with any number of songs from that era, and the production was spot-on.

Nicely done.
