Ok,,got to see the legend last night..stood about 15ft away...funnily enough their was a blonde in front of me that he couldn't keep his eyes off,so maybe he got a look at me   anyway..

The support band  ...The wildflowers..were good...

Well they played 6/7 Zep songs inc..blackdog.ramble-on,going to California and whole lotta love....keyboardist is out of Massive attack,bass player of Portishead...
guitarists Skin Tyson of CAST and Justin Adam,,you can see them here in a dodgy video,,

so glad i went..even though i had to buy 2 tickets for the privilege...  

THE MUSIC FAN!!!!
i hooked up with a couple of guys,,they didn't know each other either...and as i got talking to them..i realised they must spend a fortune on gigging..one of them as seen Bruce Springsteen 6 times recently....

Iv`e met this type before...it`s like religious worship..and sure enough when whatsits comes on stage their eyes light up ,their bopping up and down....

Don`t get me wrong i`m into to it..but i like to observe the stage.the instrument,equipment and the craft going on ,on the stage..

BTW take my word for it,,Rob Plant is deffo numero uno...all the band seemed to be looking at him ready,so as not to be out of time...he `s deffo a bit of a controller up there..

so thats it....next gig is the Smoke Fairies in October.

I'm like you mate, I like to watch the performance rather than bounce around. In fact, if I can be sat down, that's even better. I guess everyone gets different things out of a gig. To me, the rest of the audience is just in the way, the stand in the way, spill beer on me, scream in my ear and generally detract from the music

These were mainly older fans HAB...LED ZEP fans with some younger ones in there...i was 1 person  away from the barrier and had my own personal space,,,drank a beer..very civilised ,,iv`e been in mosh pit type gigs and no what you mean..

I had the chance to sit down ,but for this i wanted to be standing..
