I might be imagining it but it seems distinctly quiet around here today, compared to usual anyway.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the heated exchanges that have gone on over the past few days, all of which I read through and decided to keep out of.
There have been comments made about (and I can't remember who by so this is not directed at anyone) people leaving and being easily replaced by an influx of newbies.
This seems fair but ask yourself why there is an influx if this is indeed what people have witnessed and why once here they might choose to stay.
I for one ventured here on a recommendation and I would suggest that the reason people are recommending this forum and newbies like me are choosing to stick around is because of both the positive and supportive atmosphere and the fact that the forum is well attended.
Now at the risk of sounding like a jumped up noob who is speaking out of place
'Come on people, pick yourselves up, dust yourselves off and lets get back to business as normal.
I am not posting this to provoke, antagonise or condescend but in the short time I've been here this has proved to be a truly unique and motivating forum. Maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion, maybe this is something that happens every now and then, maybe I'm reading it wrong but I'd hate to see that change.
I'm not sure what my opinion would be if I turned up here for the first time today and read over recent posts.
Anyway I don't want this to turn into another post that agitates people or ends in people airing their grievances thus making things worse so how about just responding with a smiley face...or a sad one if you disagree.
In fact yes, I'm going to go out on a limb and self moderate for a moment.....
