It's been a few weeks since I have been here, lots going on, but nice to see both new and familiar artists on here. Here's another one from me ... look forward to comments

https://soundcloud.com/kevinism1961/nothing-wrong

Nothing Wrong

V1
Is there a place that you call home?
Where it's okay to be alone?
Your silence hides how you feel about me
I find it hard to understand
How you can leave things so unplanned
It makes no sense that you want to be with me

Pre-Chorus
There are times when everything's alright
But I don't think I want to be here with you tonight

Chorus
There's nothing wrong, nothing wrong with me
There's nothing wrong, nothing wrong with me

V2
In shadows deep, lost in the night
You cut a sad and lonely sight
Your silence screams "Will you please help me?"
You are the other side of me
The person I don't want to me
So please let go, please will you set me free?

Pre-chorus

Chorus

Chorus

There's nothing wrong
There's nothing wrong

P.S. I am trying to build up followers on Soundcloud, so please take the time to follow me and I will reciprocate :)

Glad to see you @kevysc with a new one!! and what new one!!! It sounds full of catchy energy, fantastic vibration, love the chorus, from the beginning to the end it carries you following all the story. Guitars give it an electric ambient, muy buen Trabajo
I did not know that to live we had to die so many times

Good morning @kevysc,

I hope you are well.  I've enjoyed listening to this track.  The Bowie influence is striking.  It's a really enjoyable song.  I can hear how you've built the music around the rhythm guitar foundation and it is just right.  The bass though very busy is a really cool  driving force and underpins the whole structure. I enjoy the way different instruments come and go, often providing something to keep our interest. The lyrics are unambiguous and easy to follow/understand. There's a great deal of musical skill imparted on both the instrumentation and arrangement of this song.

Well done

Paul

Hi, @kevysc

How on earth did you get Paul McCartney to play bass on this for you???? :)

Seriously though, I am a big fan of melodic bass lines and this ticks all the boxes.

The composition on this is great. Musically all the sections work and there's lots of interesting transitions.

My only suggestion would be on the arrangement. I'd lose some of the guitars in the verse sections as it feels too busy which means that the chorus sections do not have the impact they should when they come in. In the verses I'd so some reggae guitar stabs on beats 2 and 4.

The acoustic at the end is genius though and a great way to finish the song.

An excellent song and there's certainly 'Nothing Wrong' with it!! :)

Ooh - straight in! Great vibe to this one.. I LOVE the chorus.. As always the vocal is great - those BVs are fab!! Super catchy song.

Do you ever play live? I'd say this would work really well live..

FABULOUS!

Hi @kevysc

A great chorus - something you have a real skill for. The track is very busy but falls of the 'good' side of that by giving the listener a choice of ear candy and better still, rewarding repeat listens - I've been twice through* so far and it feels very fresh, like hearing a new song each time but also forming a stronger sense of itself on repeat listens. I often find your music rewards return visits s much as anyone else's.

Despite it's many moving parts - the song is also over in a flash, which certainly helps with repeated listens

All the best,

CCB

@moraamarolaloba @Paul V  @Elvis Nash @RCJames  Glad you like it, thanks for listening and commenting !

@Nick Ryder  Thanks for the compliments on my bass playing. i know it tends to be busy ... my sometime collaborator says I play bass like a lead guitar player :) Anyway, I also took your suggestion on board to easy back the guitars in verse, thanks for that

@MonnoDB  Glad you like it. When I play live (which is very occasionally) it's mostly covers, but I agree this could rock the house :)

@CorkingCrackBand  Many thanks, particularly for listening more than once! As I know, I am a fan of brevity in music :) Hope all is well!

@kevysc

Beautiful emotional performance!  :)
The complex bass line goes very well with the synths. Good song! :)

Nice one kev. Great guitar work, production spot on. Your voice always reminds me of David Bowie.

This is a lot

Reminds me of a college musical
Performed by teens, which is strange because teens are more likely to ask
What's wrong with me?
It also reminds me of Bowie, in one of his phases.

Once, out n about
I saw a man turn to his woman and yell down the street at her
There's nothing wrong with me!!
There was as much offense as defense in his voice
His confidence seemed a bit shallow.

There's nothing wrong with me!!
I remember thinking
That's such an awkward battle cry - I'm having that.
I did get a song out of it (but it was pretty awful n wax never completed)

I appreciate you're contributions Kevin
Artists like you give this forum its value.
All the best. 👌
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I can promise you a future of slow decline.

Don't eat the yellow snow

And there you have it.

I've been elsewhere for a while for a while too, so hearing this was a nice return for me. You have a very recognisable style which I really like. Great bass line. Kind of  reminds me of Macca at his best. Great stuff. :)
