I'm trying to help a friend that's already in a band understand their royalties, for privacy I've taken their names out (image link below). All members inititally agreed equal songwriting status within their Ltd company agreement which precedes any music being released, subsequently the songwriting shares had been submitted 50% for the singer, 12.5% for all other band members, years later it changed to the splits in the image. I'm trying to get my head around the %'s especially the performance royalties because the newly set up Ltd companies for the singer and guitarist get 6% and the band Ltd company gets 8% too. Or do I have that wrong? I also can't explain the 30% in the mechanical column for the Singer Ltd and Guitarist Ltd, band Ltd gets 40%. It's all a bit hard to decipher in simpleton terms. Really appreciate an explanation please?
