Hi lovely people,

Just want to say that I have not left. it’s just that I’m extremely busy organising a historical theatre event at the moment, costing me all of my evenings and weekends, but which is also nice and creative  :)  As a result, music is on hold this half year. I crave making and listening music again, so hopefully in winter…

See you soon

But this will all change. I want 6o get back into it.

This forum isn't what it was, it's still the best I know.
I'll be back mire frequently soon.
It's either this or that, then again it might be the other.

I’m going to be back too soon and brilliant to read about all the positive initiatives going on. I’m thinking about recording a few videos about my song construction and mixing process and thought about doing that with a previous song but maybe it would be better to do that for the next song that I write as it will be in the present and warts n all.

See you all soon 😀

Great!

I’m on holiday at the minute, but am thinking of ways to
incorporate forum members into a podcast…maybe a separate series…featuring any members who want to take part and showcase their stuff.

It could be audio or video…I haven’t figured out the best way to do it yet…but anyone who fancies taking part can either reply here or drop me a PM…I’ll get back on the case once I get home.

Any ideas/suggestions also welcome.

Cheers!

Great news @PaulAds Im on holiday too (again) but looking forward to getting stuff together when I get home plus starting life at University. It will be interesting to get an insight into how some younger people perceive the art of songwriting and what (if anything) they can learn from an old boy like myself. I struggle a bit with the video side of things but have a decent enough camera to record clips so if anyone is willing to help me with the editing side of things I would appreciate that

I'd love to have you featuring in a podcast, John @pompeyjazz

Regarding the way I did my podcast, I'd perhaps have done it differently...but, because I wanted to talk a bit and then play guitar and sing...it was a bit of a compromise...where I had things set up to do a bit of both....and I wanted it to look quite informal without microphones everywhere, so I think I might start a new thread and put all the audio/video talk there...

It was really quite easy...and all just using gear that I already had...and software I got free.
