I had to post on this one, though god knows how to follow that!  I laughed aloud (really!, not just a 'lol') at the 2nd verse, brilliant.  Like all your stuff the meter and the flow are excellent.
This is better than anything I remember in the charts for years (do they still have charts?)
Thanks PJ, this made my day

When I read the title I was really apprehensive, thinking like is this going to work? But it really does. All the little added details made me chuckle and the references to Facebook made it strangely realistic!

Hi Little Feet, GTB and Jess,

Thanks for reading.

I'd have to brush up on my Klingon. I haven't mastered English yet!

Cheers,

Phil.

lol, it's supposed to be Klingon, but another website said hovercraft and eels were words that did not appear in their language - however do they manage?

Absolutely brilliant!

Honestly one of the funniest 'comic' lyrics I've read for a long time I think. I keep an eye on this section of the forum but you need a good title to get me to read your lyric. You've got a great one here but still I managed to miss it for quite a while. How could I not want to know more about that?

I always play something while I read to see if I could put a lyric to music and this one sits perfectly in a basic country style. Don't know if that's what you intended?

'Oh oh here they come.
Leave me alone I'm not in! ' .... Brilliant!

Hi GTB,

I could imagine a Klingon tackling an eel or something similar but they don't seem like the types to go messing about on the water. Although i could be wrong!

Hi Shiny,

Thanks for reading and glad you like it.

Your mention of Country has got me thinking of cowboys in space. There must be a song there! I'm not a musicator but Neil said he's going to have a bash at it.

Hi Neil,

Don't tell me you're going to change Arsenal to LA Galaxy!

Cheers,

Phil.

You don't "master" English.  You just survive it.  :O)

Those who think they have "mastered English" usually just have an excessively high opinion of their own opinions.

AND... those who think they have "Mastered Klingon" probably need to get a life.  :O)

Hiii! This made me smile and I love, love the rhyme in it! I think 'aliens' are a really different (in a good way) subject to write about. It was refreshing to read something like this and I think it's unusual (again, in a good way), but unique. Good work, great lyrics, amazing talent! :)
