 Hi All,

I sent a load of funky gtrs n stuff to Digger and he sent me back this ;D ;D ;D

 https://soundcloud.com/binladeda/debauchery-collab-with-digger

It's a bit rough and ready, but it has a raw quality that I really like......
and we decided not to go any further with it unless we lost it  ;D ;D

The lyrics/vocal and mix were all Diggers work.  The rest you can blame
on me ;D  Hope you enjoy the ride as much as I do......thanks for listening.

  LYRICS.

 Oh, what you doin' ?
 Oh, what you got ?
 Oh, what you usin' ?
 I want the lot
 Oh, what you makin' ?
 I think I'll try
 Oh, what you sellin' ?
 I want to buy

 Elemental bidding in the restroom
 I want you now
 You make me crazy
 You spin me round
Every little way I wanna taste you
 I want you all
 My skin is aching
 I feel you...crawl

 Get
 Higher
 (you take me)
 Higher
 (you lift me)
 Higher
 (you get me)
 Higher
 Don't bring me down

 And she said more
 I need some more
 And she said more

 So here are, so
 Lets find the groove
 I'll bring my mojo
 You bring the moves
Twistin' and a turnin' and goin' insane
 I'm reachin' for you
Twistin' and turnin' and goin' insane
 Open your soul, get...

 Higher
 (you take me)
 Higher
 (you lift me)
 Higher
 (you get me)
 Higher
 Don't bring me down

She said I'm a naughty boy
 Well I've been around
I'll touch it when the mood takes
 I like the sound

Said, oh girl, you're a pretty thing
 But a mystery
 You know what life means
 Debauchery
 So give me more

 And she said more
 And she said more
 I want some more
 And she said more

 Get you back
 In my arms
I'm beggin' an beggin' an you bringin' it back
 In my arms
I'm beggin' an beggin' an you bringin' it back
 In my arms
I'm beggin' an beggin' an you bringin' it back
 In my arms
 Oh bring your charms

So get me in your arms
 You bringin' me back
 In your arms
 You bring me back
 In your arms
 You bring me back
 In you arms
 You bring me back

An interesting and compelling track,it thwacks along like Der Commissionaire meets Robert Fripp.

Much demanding one's attention,a single listen doesn't cut it.

Way cool stuff you two.  8)

well ive heard it three times now and its a corker
kept me interested all the way..  excellent mix constantly surprising building subtly all the time..
ace guitar from you binly especially in the last half .. great vocal from digger.. coming over all suggestive and then hitting with that chorus..terrific
quite contemporary or of the moment i would say i could imagine hearing on the wireless..
the opening lowkey beatbox kind of groove brought to mind a mixture of stones miss you and prince for some reason.. its that bass drum i guess..

top marks chaps
i may not believe this tomorrow...

I wouldn't say it is rough. Reminds me of Prince and has me bouncing around the room. My only nitpick is it seems a little bass lite, but that's just my personal taste.

Some really great guitar playing, I hear a touch of Hendrix.

An excellent collaboration.

Keith

ps Digger, you should sing more often

Great feel to this! This is what RHCP should be doing! Their new stuff is far too clean and this has some proper darkness running through it.

Great tune, switches effortlessly from section to section.

Lyrics are very good and sung well.

Love the baseline and electric guitars

Definitely a touch of Prince.

Will be listening to this again.

omg digger you sound completely degenerate ...& quite interesting  :)
you sing a  bit like damon allbran... i imagined you singing  would  sound like vincent price! ...anyway I liked what you sounded like
and this is  fabulous ... its definitely 'Play that funky music old boys'!  ;D its dancey & catchy & sexy & wicked
bindaddy your guitars sound like a wild pack of 6 strings roaming the lustful streets of funky town looking for thrills & hot plectrums ...great playing & I do love to hear a whammy bar being disciplined! :)
thats a massive chorus .....& I liked the samples ? & bits & bobs mixed in to give it tasty flavours
its definitely not at all what i expected when i pressed play  :)
Tell me Im wonderful & I ll be nice to you :)

I like this, it's got a gritty edge without actually sounding rough or badly produced at all. It's the sound of a cool but slightly sleazy bar in a rough part of town.

I like the vocal melody, it's catchy in an understated way. Great delivery in the verses, the chorus ("higher") might be slightly off-pitch though.

The funky music all adds to a fun and interesting vibe.

Great combo of Bin's fluid playing and digger's gritty vocal. Nice bass guitar lines and the whole thing has a rather sleazy, low down and dirty feel which is rather fine. Reminded me a little of the Rolling Stones in the 80's.

Superb skills and enormous amount of detailed work has gone into this.

Definitely sleazy and a little cold with it. Lovely the funk guitars, executed beautifully.

Not so sure about the "Highhhhher" in the chorus, seemed a little abrupt and aggressive. Perhaps it is just a little high in the mix.

Guitar solos are great, dripping with sleazy goodness in the Prince style.

Fun and funky in a way I could never pull off.

Nice one guys  :)

Tom.

WOW  Hendrix, Prince, Fripp......didn't expect comparisons like
that ;D ;D......think it might be the sound of the Strat, rather
 than my playing ;D ;D But I'll take 'em ;D ;D

Thanks for all the positive comments, and for taking the time
 to listen and comment.

I know Digger will be pleased with all the positive feedback
regarding his vocal, as he wasn't too pleased with it.  Ok, it's
not perfect ;D But I love the rawness.  Yeah, it's not pitch
perfect, but it's not for want of trying ;D ;D and it's that
passion in the attempt that makes it for me.  Digger sings with
heart and soul.....which is all you need in my book ;D ;D
Especially for a song like this.  In fact, I think one of the
reasons I like this song is that both the vocal and lead gtr are
' first take' recordings, which, in my experience have a certain
energy and excitement that get lost when you further develop
 and polish songs........ok, I'll stop rambling on ;D ;D

Anyway guys, you are all toooo kind.....as usual ;D  But I love
you all, and BIG thanks to the forum for allowing this to happen.
This song wouldn't exist if it wasn't for this place ;D ;D

 xx

Most enjoyable. Very groovy and a great mix that allows all that funky guitar playing to breathe. Some fine picking and some singing - great overall soundscape. Really enjoyed it. One thing was the light and shade midway through (about 2:35) where it sounded a bit Lou Reedish on the vocals, just before the rock guitar solo came in, I just lost a bit of focus around that point, but it soon came back, and maybe you need that light and shade to get the full effect of the rock stuff. Other thing was the rock stuff in the second half of the song didn't seem (to me) to fit the groove as well as the funky playing in the first half. I love rock guitar playing and am always happy to listen to playing this good - just can't help but wonder if this song needed the funky stuff throughout rather than morphing into the rock thing? But very danceable and super cool!

Hi guys, great collab,I didn't hear prince but I did hear a bowie vibe from his Lets Dance/Fame period (if I recall Fripp played with Bowie around that period). Great vocals suited the vibe and the guitar playing was excellent, lots of influences. Now then digger where have you been hiding that voice?
Good stuff guys!
Cheers
