Greetings! I've written a new song for my upcoming fictional horror/thriller novel. I have an early rough demo, and I'm currently working on a full demo and music video that I'll be sharing in the 'Finished Songs' subforum soon.

The song relates the story of a mortal man who falls in love with the charming and mysterious enchantress, Hedra. What he doesn't know, but vaguely suspects, is that she's no ordinary woman—Hedra is an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, and beautiful sorceress! 😈

Under her spell, he sees some of the dark and wondrous things she does. In the song, he's posing vivid questions to her and pouring out his love for her like a hopeless romantic. But of course, everything is unfolding exactly as Hedra intends; she controls everything about this situation, just as she controls everything about all situations in the world.

Hedra doesn't feel love, although she completely understands it and uses the illusion of love to manipulate people. But that doesn't make her any less adorable.

The song fits the pop-rock 80s genre, and is a bit frenetic, driving, and quick at 130 bpm.

A quick update! I think I've finalized the lyrics for my new song, which are now edited in my previous post. I'll now work more on recording the full demo. With my businesses, I stay super busy with work projects, and I wish I had more time to engage in my love of songwriting. I think I only average about one new song, demo, and music video every 3-6 months. Some may think that's still too often! LOL!!! 😂🤣

Anyway, I'm excited about finishing this one and sending it off for a new music video soon. 😄🎶🎤

My ultimate goal for my songs is to buy time in a recording studio with session musicians and a sound engineer and make radio-ready versions of my songs -- not that I expect to ever be on the radio; I know I won't. But, it would be nice to have a full CD with my 15 best songs before I'm off to that big songwriter's forum in the sky someday! 😄
