Hi everyone in songwriterforum land

I've a bit of time on my hands following an operation so i'll try and contribute :-)

Here's a new 'protest'song that I thought i'd share. From personal expeireince.

Cheers

Neil

Rightly

I remember your voice.
This reminds me of Pink Floyd somehow.
Funky, but English. I think that's a good thing. Cool voice.
It's a good demo. I've no idea how you'd improve on it.
A tight little numba. Great.

Hey there Neil...I like this a lot.
You take a hum-drum event and turn it into an introspective song!
Love it!
And i agree with R.... very cool vocals! 8)

Sounds good to me. You always do good work, so I'm not surprised! My hearing issues prevent me from hearing enough of the lyrics to comment on them. I can hear your voice fine, maybe a little lost in the mix. I did understand most of the spoken section when the instrumentation was lighter. In general I like the vibe!

I like this and can hear it going on to be a lot bigger.  Shades of Another Brick in the Wall with that funky minor chord, obviously, but also Ian Dury and the Blockheads with the feel and vocals.

I think the chorus could do with a vocal change of some kind, maybe a megaphone or telephone call effect.  Or sung by a female diva.  Something to distinguish it from the verse.  But it is a very good effort and will be an even better song when opened up. I hear brass and horns in there!

A very catchy protest, really!!!

@neil connor ,
Good sounding rock with a late 70's vibe. :)
Cool guitars and good vocal performance.
