The Mark of the Chains

Here's an oldie I originally posted back in...I think it was 2016 (the copyright notice on the video is for that video, not the original song). We had a song of the month thing going back then and this was among the contenders in March. Boydie produced it at the time--and did an awesome job!

The backstory has to do with Bahá'u'lláh, the Prophet/Founder of the Bahá'í Faith. He was in prison and weighted down with two gigantic heavy chains. They left indentations in his skin that never went away for the rest of his life. Thus, the "mark of the chains".

This is my third or fourth try at posting this; I keep getting error messages (which I have reported). This time I'm trying without including the lyrics in the post because one of the errors implied my post was spam. I'm including the lyrics on YouTube (you'll have to watch the video on YouTube to see them) in the hope it was the lyrics causing the problem.

@Vicki -- This is an excellent mid-tempo track! The song has a nice pop vibe with some hints of Irish/Celtic/Gaelic influence. Your lyrics are solid and I think the best lines are:

A love has touched my soul;
Turned a spark into a flame
And it's because of the love that in the dark of night
I seem to feel the mark of the chains

The vocals are great, and the production by @Boydie is excellent with a crystal clear sound. Very nice work from all involved! I enjoyed listening!

Regarding the video, it is very interesting, entertaining, and engaging. Well done!

This is very good.  Nice strong melody serves as a really good hook upon which all of the instrumentation hangs wonderfully.  Well done!
