Hi:)
After youtube deleted my last video i hope this one will work :D
I think those lyrics speak for themself
I hope you like it:)

Lyrics:
You've got a big lamborghini in your garage
you've got a few million bucks on your bank account
you've got a 100 million likes on your facebook page
you've got all that stuff a rich man needs
but what you don't have

is a family that loves you for the man you are
and not for the number of facebook likes
or the number on your bank cheque

but it's all about fame
it's all about money
it's all about knowing your name doesn't matter what it costs
and you're selling your name for a minute of fame
and you never get it back but i doubt you care
cause it's all about fame
it's all about fame

she knows every shop owner on 5th avenue
she's invited for a tea by the queen
she snaps with a finger and she gets it all
she gets all that stuff a woman wants
but what you don't get

is a life worth living
is a life worth loving
and you'll never get to see behind the wall
you'll never get to know the story of life

cause it's all about fame
it's all about money
it's all about knowing your name doesn't matter what it costs
and you're selling your name for a minute of fame
and you never get it back but i doubt you care
cause it's all about fame
it's all about fame

These are the people who never get to know
what it means to be living what it means to be loving
they never get to see behind the wall of fame behind the wall of shame

cause it's all about fame
it's all about money
it's all about knowing your name doesn't matter what it costs
and you're selling your name for a minute of fame
and you never get it back but i doubt you care
cause it's all about fame
it's all about fame

cause it's all about fame
it's all about money
it's all about knowing your name doesn't matter what it costs
and you're selling your name for a minute of fame
and you never get it back but i doubt you care
cause it's all about fame
it's all about fame

Hi!

First I would say that someone who is smiling while singing is a really good point. :-)

Then I would say I've found the lyrics clever and straightforward, but I'm french so this should be taken into account. :-)

About the sound quality, hmm, the guitar is covering your voice since it seems to be on the same frequency range. You should use a microphone. As it is, this is hard to say more.

Ps : why has your video been deleted?

Nono.

Hi Jane,

really enjoyed listening to the song. Reminded me a bit of Taylor Swift. I agree with retrononomusic the balance between the guitar and voice is out. I think its time you invested a little time and money in a little better recording  equipment. Or, if you haven't the money, you could play the guitar a little softer and sing a little louder.

Great song,

Keith

Hi Jane,

ideally if you are recording live you need two mics linked to separate tracks. The first close to your mouth to pick up the vocal, the second close to the guitar to pick up the guitar. When you listen to the separate tracks back you'll find both mics have picked up guitar and vocal (called leakage) but on one track the vocal will be louder than the guitar and vice versa.

You can play with the balances and the EQ to make the guitar softer and the vocals a little higher. Most of it is trial and error until you find something that works. Once you've done it a couple of times you'll get less trial and error as you get used to where your voice and guitar are in terms of loudness.

If you have one mic then you could record the guitar first and then sing over the top on another track. You get no leakage and can then adjust the volumes and/or EQ of both tracks to make the vocal more prominent.

Both of these methods may mess with the video recording and I can see why you'd prefer to play and sing at the same time. In which case try putting the microphone closer to your head and further away from the guitar. Put aside an hour or so to just record whilst moving the position of the microphone. Again all trial and error. Once you've found the best position you'll be able to use it over and over again.

Good luck,

Keith

Why did youtube delete your video??? what's that about?

Everything you do is improving soooooo much - songwriting, melody, guitar playing, singing - everything - it's really really impressive.

When I was reading your lyrics I couldn't see how you could possibly make them sound right in a song - I could get a feel for the rhythm or structure, but when you sang it, it all came together really well, and sounded right and natural.

Well done!! I think this is great.

@diademgrove thank you i'll try this! :)

@caco thank you so much! :)

You asked why youtube deleted my videos, this is a quite long story :
A 'friend' of mine doesn't like that i write songs and sing because he thinks it's not 'normal' that a 15 year old doesn't go to parties but writes songs :D ok, probably this isn't normal but who cares it's the thing i love the most :)
i once forgot to log out of youtube and my 'friend' was the next one this computer. With my account he refreshed the page with my video on so long that it ended with like 800 views more on it. But this increasing your own views is forbidden and youtube will delete your videos if you do this. end of the story youtube deleted two of my videos.

 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW I LOVE THE SONG

yes the quality of the recording is no to good you are drowned out
but the melody is fantastic so i liked to hear it really clearly
i think you are improving so fast i look forward to hearing what you do next

i think you should play around with your mic and get it right
then when this song is done to the standard it deserves
 this will be outstanding song

i agree with everything COCA said

the person you call friend is not a friend
friends give you support and take the time to get to know you as you
and they accept you for you ( THIS IS NOT A FRIEND WALK AWAY AND BE HAPPIER )
people only say things like they say because they are jealous of you and your talent

LOVED IT YOU ARE GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME

If there were a prize for most improved songwriter you would be right up there

I really liked this

+1 to the comments about the guitar overpowering your vocal and you have been given some excellent advice

I can hear a full on "pop" production in my head and I think it would suit the song perfectly

Great stuff!

With a bit of work on the arrangement (and production  ;) I think you could have something very good here. I wasn't convinced at first but it really grew on me very quickly!

Well done

Hi, you are really improving and learning how to structure the chords and lyrics to create a rhythmically sound song. Just need to keep working on your songwriting. I could imagine a bigger production and that would make it sound current and commercial.well done!

nice melody jane and really good lyric
think youve got real potential with this
arrangmnt seems to go adrift toward the end but tunes really catchy and i hear
what you saying in the words..
can imagine this with a band behind it
good luck with it..
