Finding the blue before the white
Being frightened from every side
Remembering the past in ripples and waves
Hunting around for glory days
Words of Comfort are on my lips
Feel your grasp in their finger tips
Gratitude can always be pushed to the side
As long as they look you in the eyes.

I will always offer you my hand
When you need help to stand
And whatever is gained
From remembering a name
So if you need a shoulder to cry on
This shoulder will never be withdrawn
Memories is what keeps you safe
Words of comfort, while we wait.

Say it once, say it pure
Remember the ones you adore
Find the methods, say the words
And soften the days that hurt.

When you are scared and frightened
This pathway I can enlightened
You’ve worked hard and you worked your best
No one deserves more then to have a rest
If I could carry you on just a part of the journey
What would I have done to be worthy?
Words of comfort, a life to save
Hold this hand and be brave.

Say it once, say it pure
Remember the ones you adore
Find the methods, say the words
And soften the days that hurt.

May these words keep you safe my friends
May these words keep you safe my friends.

Say it once, say it pure
Remember the ones you adore
Find the methods, say the words
And soften the days that hurt
Say it once, say it pure
Remember the ones you adore
Find the methods, say the words
And soften the days that hurt.

May these words keep you safe my friends
May these words keep you safe my friends.

Enjoyed this.

Thought it was well written though Its a bit preachy.  I did note that there are few lines that do not fit with the 2nd person style when yiu are addressing a single entity.

May these words keep you safe my friends - suddenly introduces more people, who? Why? Might be better as
May these words keep you safe my friend

No one deserves more than to have a rest - while it is technically correct I wondrr if it might carry more weight if it was more direct to the subject.

One line stood out as being clumsey and would be best re-worked
This pathway I can enlightened - to me it does not make sense in this format. In its current firm it looks a line put in fir the sole purpose of rhyme.

Finally a rhyme suggestion for you,

Say it once say it pure,
Remeber the ones you endure

Just something to think on as we endure many people in our lives but we only ever adore one or two. Bith words rhyme, it depends on how strong you want the rhyme to be and how many people you wish to include.

A very good piece this with just a few minor housekeeping roles to tidy it up. I hope you dont mind me pointing out these areas, my aim is simply to help you get the best lyric you can.

Most enjoyable

Allan.

Not at all. Thanks for the feedback. The song is about people suffering from Dementia as I work in a residential home for people with the disease. That's why saying things "May these words keep you safe my friends" is covering all the people I work with, plus the friends and family of the people it effects. But I appreciate the comments, many thanks.
