Lyrics / Re: And I Will Always Hate You...
Last post by Elvis Nash - Today at 04:58 PM
Quote from: icystorm on May 04, 2026, 07:20 PMGreetings, everyone! After finally catching a brief breather from my busy work schedule, I'm working a bit more on my fictional horror novel and new songs. A new song in support of my novel came to me this morning, with a chorus and melody first. I sat down and quickly sang it into my DAW. The full lyrics followed quickly. I will work on a full demo for it soon, as soon as I wrap up a music video for my remixed song Does a Sorceress Make Love?.

My new song, And I Will Always Hate You, is a mid-tempo pop-rock song with an 80s vibe. The song is about a mortal man who is used in a scheme by Eris, the Goddess of Strife and Discord, while she masquerades on Earth in human form. The guy falls in love with Eris who promptly discards him after she's finished using him for her malicious purpose. He never realizes she's a mythical, immortal goddess. He's left dazed and confused, in a world of grief and misery after she's gone, not knowing if he loves her or hates her.

As with all of my songs, absolutely no AI was used in writing/composing the lyrics or music, or producing the track.

song from my forthcoming fictional horror novel "Omega's Dark: The Transference"

--Verse 1
You tricked your way into my life
With charms and wicked ways
You poured it on
And I ate every part right from your palms

--Verse 2
And there was a time and place
I worshiped you
and all the things you'd do
Like a feast made from your heart

--Pre-chorus 1
And there are no lies in Heaven
There are no truths in Hell
And loving you was a bitter thing
That never ever could end well

--Chorus
You are the sinister one
With dark and evil in your heart
You tread where no man dares to find
The path to reach your danger mark
The road from loving you is
An endless spiral of misery that comes true
And I will always love you
And I will always hate you, too

--Verse 3
Hate is a bitter thing
I cannot believe I'm here
You led me down
Every step I followed made no sound

--Verse 4
Once you were all mine in faith
Or so it seemed
In all the lies from you
From a face with only words untrue

--Pre-chorus 2
And there are no fears in Heaven
There's only pain in Hell
And loving you was a misery
That never ever would die well

(repeat chorus, then to bridge)

--Bridge
The danger lies in loving someone
Don't believe in bliss
The Heaven in the stars is fake
The fire in Hell is only what you make

(repeat chorus 1x then outro)

Well a few divorces thats quite common Icy. Very good lines ....And there are no lies in Heaven
There are no truths in Hell

Beatrice Florea always projects an irresistible blend of talent, good looks, and charm. Her cover of a 1989 Belinda Carlisle track, shared below, is awesome. 8)

Do you write original songs?

I am a final-year Psychology student at The Open University (UK) and I am conducting my undergraduate dissertation research project on the experience of songwriting as part of everyday creative practice.

I am looking for adults (18+) with experience writing original songs to take part in a one-to-one online interview via Zoom (approximately 45 minutes).

The interview will focus on your experience of composing songs and your songwriting process. You do not need to be a professional musician to take part. The interview will not require you to discuss sensitive personal topics, and you are free to skip any question you do not wish to answer.

For privacy and comfort, interviews will be conducted using audio only. Neither the participant nor the researcher will be required to use a camera.

Participation is voluntary, confidential, and you may withdraw at any time. Interviews will be audio-recorded for research purposes only and all data will be anonymised.

If you would be interested in taking part or would like more information, please contact:

Thanks man

@Elvis Nash — You may be on to something. Your reply line has a certain poetic quality to it. It could be made into lyrics in your next song.

Rest when we're dead
in a 4K box made of maple I guess

But with inflation, the same maple box is now 16K, man. LOL!!! 😂🤣

@Elvis Nash — I recall this good track from its first release last year. It sounds like you remixed it. Even better! It has a solid country-rock vibe, but fresh for 2026. It's a rich sound, man! 8)

I've enjoyed watching the performances of the attractive and talented actress Jacqueline Scott in numerous syndicated television shows, mainly from the 1950s and 1960s. I recently rewatched an episode of Bonanza titled The Tall Stranger (1962), which featured her.

I thought I would see more familiar names over in this section, but it doesn't seem to be as busy as it used to be.

Yes, if people don't reply it isn't encouraging.

Yes, you're right, few people show their faces around here, and even then, only very occasionally. And even when they do, some don't comment on other people's work, which is why this place stagnates, I think... However, given that there are forums that were once very active and had a large audience but have since disappeared, many now-orphaned members will look for new forums, and here is this one, available to receive visitors and host everyone hahaha
Bring on the buses!!!
