Bleed In Public And Call It Art

I pour my soul on a barroom floor,
Trade my pain for a round of applause.
Every song's a scar I reopen,
Just to prove I still got flaws.
(Verse 2)
Neon halo, cigarette crown,
Another sinner with something to say.
They don't see the ghost behind my grin,
Just a jukebox preacher getting paid.
(Chorus – 6 lines)
I'm bleeding in public and calling it art,
Spitting out verses that tear me apart.
They drink while I drown in the sound of my sin,
Applauding the wreck that I'm living in.
If the price of the truth is a hole in my heart,
Then I'll bleed in public and call it art.
(Verse 3)
Every verse another confession,
Every stage another wound.
They clap while I fall apart in rhythm,
And leave humming my ruin.
(Bridge – no hook)
Maybe someday I'll learn to heal,
But I'd miss how the hurt makes it real.
The silence is louder than any crowd,
And I only feel honest when I'm too loud.
(Final Chorus)
I'm bleeding in public and calling it art,
Spitting out verses that tear me apart.
They drink while I drown in the sound of my sin,
Applauding the wreck that I'm living in.
If the price of the truth is a hole in my heart,
Then I'll bleed in public and call it art.
(Outro tag)
Yeah — I'll bleed in public,
and call it art.

Mora Amaro La Loba

I like intro, don't laugh... It made me think of a scene from a duel between two cowboys on a dusty street, but it was just a moment; then comes the parade of pain with its trombones and its slow, deliberate steps, sinking into the ground.
I really like your writing, always enjoy it.

Furthermore, you describe here how the artist bares all his shameful secrets in public to mask his pain with the applause of those who devour him.

In reality, we are all vampires.

See you Elvis
I did not know that to live <I had to die so many times

Cool bass and lyrics in this one. The track fits your country outlaw style well. Good work, Elvis!

With all of your recent tracks, you should have enough for a new album. Any plans?

What would I do with it ? I've done that , sold maybe a 200 cds . The costs don't ROI. You don't really don't know how strange this world is after talking to some fans . Some people are completely nuts . I made the mistake on putting my phone number on it , Man don't do that lol. people calling at 2am
