The kids are over-excited, and mamma's had enough
The turkey crown's still frozen and the Christmas pud's gone off

Grandma's Christmas shopping at the market
Been there since the 31st of May
She likes to sing and dance to Christmas muzak
Been like that since Grandad passed away

The kids are over excited and grandad's had enough
He's keeled over backwards, so his Christmas time is up.

There's gonna be no presents Christmas morning
Too much port and brandy on the way
Santa caught red handed drink n driving
The scuffers have impounded Santa's sleigh

The kids are over-excited, and daddy's had enough
Sixteen pints on Christmas Eve has finished daddy off

The kids are over-excited, the cat has just thrown up
Ate a plate of stuffing balls n I gotta clean it up

Thanks Joseph. Good to hear from you. All the recent AI shenanigans dampened my enthusiasm for a while. But I need the forums like everyone else who does this. It's a way to get heard...and to hear what everyone else is doing. It's a community thing which I appreciate. So I'm going to get right back on board, both here and on the other two forums I frequent. I appreciate your kind words about my Christmas tune.
