Here's a more rock-inspired track than I usually write, with some playful lyrics to keep it light — would love to hear some feedback! 


Turn the pink facade into gray
 
Monday morning I step outside
Sun is smiling and I wonder why
Am I caught in a scene?
Not sure what it means
 
Meet my neighbour miss Grumbleford  with her
Angry dog that suddenly seems to wag his tail
Tell me - what is going on?
 
Hit the café and the owner looks weird and says: "The cost of your new life is the end of your old one"
Give me a break   
 
Arriving at the work, and the team applause me, my boss is high-fiving 
Sure - give me a break.

Off from work and heading to the bar,

Snap selfies when my eyes can barely look straight anymore - but
They don't seem to care
 
They mix my last drink, call it 'The Star',
I'll take one sip, so bizarre,
I've gone too far

When walking home, I quietly pray
No more play just give me - a regular day

When it kicked in I'm thinking, this isn't really a rock song, but I love the way this progresses. I love some of the incidental stuff. The vocals are first class. I wish I could hit some of thos top notes! A great track.

I don't understand the lyrics at all; I mean I understand the words, especially since you provided the lyrics--thank you for that!--but I don't know what it means. It definitely is a fun-sounding piece, though. Very danceable.

Hi Vicki and thank you for taking the time to listen and give me feedback!
The lyrics is about a guy who wakes up to a surreal day where everything seems perfect but fake. He realizes that he rather embrace the authenticity of his ordinary gray life than live behind a hollow, pink façade.

I will try to make the lyrics clearer next time!
