The theatrical release of the film Obsession is coming soon, on May 15, 2026. I previously posted the teaser trailer for it. The official trailer is shown below. As a reminder, the respected movie critic Spooky Astronauts (Emma Wolfe) is on record as saying this is "one of the best" movies she's ever seen. I previously posted her cool video review of the film. We'll soon know if it lives up to the hype! Get your popcorn ready! 😃🍿

There may be a special premiere as early as May 13, 2026 here. I may go to see it then. 😃

...and be super careful what and who you wish for...

I've posted a few video reviews and trailers for the new film Obsession (2026), which is hitting theaters this week. The movie is stirring up a lot of interest and just set a new score record on the movie review website, Rotten Tomatoes. I'm looking forward to watching it soon!

New Horror Movie 'Obsession' Just Set A Rotten Tomatoes Score Record

article excerpt:

Last week, it became clear that Obsession, a new horror film out this coming weekend, was the best-reviewed genre movie of 2026 so far. But now it's set an even more impressive record on Rotten Tomatoes.

Obsession, now with a 97% Rotten Tomatoes score from 62 critics, is the best-reviewed wide-release movie of 2026 across any genre, not just horror. Horror movies can be hit or miss with critics or audiences, but so far, Obsession has this rare honor as we head into the latter half of 2026 soon. If it maintains these numbers, it is likely to be among the highest-scoring movies of the year. I mean, 2025's Sinners had a 97% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Last night, I watched the new movie, Obsession, which came out this week. The film had a lot of hype over the past six months from movie critics and others who were able to see exclusive early premieres of it at various film festivals.

The story and concept merit 10 stars, but the acting and directing are weak. I regret having to say that I was underwhelmed by it. Although it's certainly a movie worth seeing, it just didn't live up to the hype for me. I won't post any spoilers, but I'll simply say it's a good movie worth seeing. I rate it 6 out of 10 stars.

6⭐ Decent overall, but it didn't live up to its hype and potential. Still okay and worth seeing. 🤔👍

I enjoyed rewatching a season 2 episode of the western series Bonanza titled The Abduction (1960). Barbara Lawrence guest stars as the beautiful and svelte Della Thompson, who works in a carnival venue. I rate the episode a strong 6 out of 10 stars.

6⭐ A decent episode, made better by the presence of Barbara Lawrence, who looks amazing in the show! 👍🍿

BTW, she's not not the bearded circus lady in the YT splash screen below—LOL!
